Google Drive & Heaven for Gmail Users now 10GB

Google has launched Google Drive, a cloud storage service where users can upload and access all of their files, including videos, photos, Google Docs, PDFs and beyond. The service is offering new users 5GB of storage for free with upgrades starting at 25GB for $2.49/month, 100GB for $4.99/month or even 1TB for $49.99/month. Google also increased the free storage in Gmail from the existing 7.5 GB to 10 GB to all users. Hope that 10 GB is also ever increasing as in the case of 7.5 GB

Now at least some services are paid, keep on Google.... Waiting for it as the site says "Your Drive is not ready yet"

You can attach photos from Drive to posts in Google+, and soon you’ll be able to attach stuff from Drive directly to emails in Gmail. Drive is also an open platform, so we’re working with many third-party developers so you can do things like send faxes, edit videos and create website mockups directly from Drive.

Doomsday Clock - Is it already Ticking ???

Who's actions will lead the time to be exactly 12:00 o'clock - Definitely North Korea is contributing and US is not far behind. 

North Korea sharply escalated the rhetoric against its southern rival, claiming it will soon conduct "special actions" that would reduce South Korea's conservative government to ashes within minutes.

Monday's threat from the North's military leadership comes amid concerns that North Korea may be plotting another provocation in the wake of an unsuccessful rocket launch condemned by the U.N. Security Council as a violation of a ban against missile activity.  

The Doomsday Clock is a symbolic clock face, maintained since 1947 by the board of directors of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists at the University of Chicago. The closer the clock is to midnight, the closer the world is estimated to be to global disaster. 

The most recent officially-announced setting — five minutes to midnight (11:55pm) — was made on 10 January 2012. Now time to change it again, may be yes. Reflecting international events dangerous to humankind, the clock's hands have been adjusted twenty times since its inception in 1947, when the clock was initially set to seven minutes to midnight (11:53pm).

The magnitude 8.6 earthquake that struck North Sumatra, Indonesia, at 2:38 p.m. local time today did not lead to a tsunami comparable to Indonesia's 2004 disaster for a couple of reasons. 

The magnitude 9.1 earthquake that struck in 2004 and triggered a tsunami that killed more than 200,000 people in 14 countries was a subduction megathrust earthquake closer to shore (250 kilometers south-southeast of Banda Aceh). A megathrust earthquake is also the same type of earthquake that struck off Japan in 2011. These types of earthquakes do the kind of damage that their name implies, mega thrusting of the fault. 

Today's temblor ripped along an oceanic transform fault, tearing the seafloor in a strike-slip motion as opposed to popping it apart. Strike-slip motion carries less of an ability to push up on the entire water column above it and hence is less likely to form the same kind of tsunami wave as what hit Indonesia in 2004 and Japan in 2011. Though it is not without risks. Early calculations showed that the island of Simeulue might expect waves as high as 6 meters (20 feet). 

Thank God it is a Strike slip not a Reverse Dip (Thrust) Slip, which caused havoc in 2004 & 2011 in Indonesia & Japan respectively.
